Absolutely love this place! Stop here every time we pass through Craig. Their quiche is always delicious and be sure to get the... house made salsa with it. I\'d tell you the home made pop tarts are amazing, but then they might sell out faster than theyalready do... :-( Read more

We are espresso aficionados and Prodigal Son was a delightful stop on our trip across Colorado. If you are familiar, Prodigal... Son uses beans from Huckleberry Coffee in Denver. Huckleberry\'s espresso roast is on the fruity side of the flavor wheel, butnot really citrusy. Prodigal Son knows how to pull a shot of espresso to get those flavors into your cup. So give it a try,you\'ll be happy. And the Brown Sugar pop tart pairs very well. Read more

I have a passion for coffee. I\'ve tried it from many places as we travel, I like to get great coffee grown and roasted in... different places in different ways and experience all the great notes of flavor, and I also like to try just regular plain oldlattes from any coffee shop as it\'s a fast way to gauge truly how good their stuff is, and whether they know what they\'redoing or not.\n\nThe gentleman who is very likely to be serving you, or that you\'ll see behind the counter or in the kitchenworking, is a truly knowledgeable and passionate coffee connoisseur. In a brief conversation with him, he was all too happy(when there weren\'t other customers in line) to have a pleasant discussion with me about the coffee they sell. He will sell youthe same beans they use, describe why they picked the beans they use, and describe in great detail where the notes of flavorcome from. He will even help walk you through how to get a good grind consistency (which I know from having a very high endespresso machine and dedicated grinder at home). He knew the right temperature to heat the milk to without scalding it foroptimal flavor, and the right amount of BAR\'s of pressure to extract a good shot of espresso with by getting the right amountof coffee into the portafilter with the right grind size. I can tell he has clearly dedicated the time to getting optimal shotsof espresso and has a large knowledge base of the growing and roasting of coffee.\n\nHe\'s also truly passionate about it. Thecoffee may or may not be for you, you may like to have flavored syrup in your latte, and they\'re all too happy to oblige. Ifyou want fine coffee, I truly believe you will get it here. Plus, try the PB Mocha, it absolutely blows the doors off ofanything else in town. I challenge any coffee shop in the country to be this good. Very good place, and not to dismiss the workthey put into their breakfast foods, I do believe they prepare most or everything they sell with concern to their brea Read more
