Just a miserable experience. We arrived 15 minutes early but waited almost an hour and a half to be served our entrees after... seating. We were told the delay was because my plate of Elk Scaloppine had been overcooked and that they were starting it again.I am wary of wild meat being undercooked so I specified medium. When it finally arrived, the two smaller pieces were cooked ok,but the biggest piece was bloody and bright pink. Our waitress did apologize for the wait time and the uncooked meat. Sheoffered us free desert, either to eat there or to take home, and also if I wanted the raw piece thrown back on the grill whichwas admirable but by that time we had already been there 2 hours and the restaurant was do to close in 45 minutes. Completelydisappointed, we declined both offers. The waitress did remove my coffee from the bill but it was small consolation for a $75bill. Read more

Had a lovely meal and enjoyed both the owner's hospitality and staff's service. I had an elk cannelloni which was divine. The... appetizer calmari was crispy and better than I've had in a long time. All parties in our group were very happy with their meals. One of our gluten free companions ordered the Chicken Florentine over sauted spinach as a substitute for pasta. It was anexcellent pairing and we all thought we'd try that in the future. Marchitelli's provided an excellent Italian experience inCrested Butte and also an owner I will stop by and see on my next visit to the Butte! Read more

Very busy place. We have arrived at 5:30 on Thursday and it was packed already, so we took a table on the patio. No heaters... available, so dress warmly if you don?t have a reservation. Food was fine. Very very hearty lasagna, a bit heavy for my taste.Mushrooms were juicy and well seasoned. Pasta was pretty good. Hostess and waitress were both nice and accommodating. Read more

I felt like I was bothering them by asking for anything. The restaurant ambiance was stressed and hurried. Like you had better... order everything together so they can push you out the door. The food was the same as every other americanized Italianrestaurant in every tourist town. We would have enjoyed the mom and pop hole-in-the-wall down the road much more. The best partabout the whole experience was the incredibly kind and professional bus-boy. Read more

Our server was nice, but the overall experience was awful. We were seated at 6:45PM and waited about 10 minutes before our... server came to the table. We ordered right away, one lasagna entree to share, as well as an order of garlic toast and twoglasses of wine. The wine was brought by fairly promptly. After quite some time, the server brought the garlic toast, andapologized that it was ?a little toasty?, and said she would comp that on the check. We then sat there and waited and waited forour one order of lasagna to be served. Finally at 7:45, an hour after we were seated, I had to get up and go over to the kitchenarea to find our server and ask where our dinner was. She was very apologetic and indicated that she was having difficultygetting the cooks to cooperate and produce our order. She was clearly upset with the situation and frustrated with the 3 cookson duty that evening. The owner was not present that evening, but there was a manager who also apologized and agreed, noddingtheir heads, that the kitchen staff were, as I put it, ?clowns?. The server & manager comped our entire meal, except for thewine, which was the right thing to do, but that didn?t make up for the horrible experience. Read more
