The owner was extremely nice to us. He spoke to us for a while and made great conversation. There was large portions with... delicious authentic Mexican food. Delicious drinks with many many options of tequila. Guacomango was absolutely to die for. Read more
It's a crime that is place is SO underrated. Just a quick drive from Yorktown, Cortlandt, or Peekskill. First off, if you love... tequila or mezcal, this is the place you should be drinking. The mixed drinks are unique and the selection of alcohol is almostdizzying. The owner and staff truly try to make you feel like you are at "my second home", very hospitable and funny. The foodis priced well for the quality; really tasty, fresh, authentic Mexican with quality ingredients that is harder to find aroundhere than you think (the last time I ate cactus and carnitas this good, I was in Arizona). I saw another review saying that theportions are small- maybe compared to the average Mexican-American joint around here that piles a bunch of fried food on top ofbeans and rice, perhaps- but I guarantee you'll be full without feeling disgusting afterwards. Don't feel like sitting down? Thedeli next door is owned by the same people, is also criminally underrated, and offers really good food, Mexican or otherwise.For those looking for night life, the owner schedules a bunch of events, and they have a large space inside with a DJ booth.Plenty of parking as well. Let me tell you…. I was hesitant to visit this place due to some of the reviews here…But I am so glad I went and tried it... for myself! First of all: people who know real Mexican food know that it’s all about quality over quantity. Many of thespices and seasonings used for many of the dishes can be hard to get around here and costly. The time that it typically takessome of these complex dishes, you’re lucky you’re getting some of those dishes prepared Iess than 30 minutes. I’mMexican-American and around here there’s not too many savory food places. Until today, Thank you! The mangoguac…”chefkiss!” The Mexican street corn, so nostalgic! The QuesaBirria…. Just wow! Fresh made tortilla with Birria meat and cheese.OMG! That Birria meat had so much flavor! The mango Margarita with chili salt, yummy! Brest drinks around town! And last but notleast, the service!
