My wife & I ate here after attending a local Renaissance festival. I had their world famous burger & was very unsatisfied. To... me it tasted like meatloaf. Also, it comes with "BBQ" sauce, but it tastes like plain ketchup. We even asked for anotherramekin of the sauce & again it tasted like ketchup. My wife got the Maryland style crab soup with next to no crab in it. Other than these items, the staff was very friendly & the restaurant has a great atmosphere. Maybe we caught them on a bad day? Food: 2, Ambiance + Beer selection: 4 I would give it a 2.5, middle of the road if it was an option Sorry to say this place has... slid down hill since 2017. I know inflation is happening, but their prices went up a few years ago accompanied by a noticeabledecrease in both quality and portion size. Their burgers used to be my number one favorite burger, but each time we?ve gottenthem from 2020 forward, especially today, the paddies were over cooked, dry, and cold, the toppings were thrown on andcold? And the weirdest thing.. the goat cheese was gritty and seemed to be mixed with ricotta which has never happenedbefore My partner got the Korean chicken burger which was a glorified chicken paddy that had no texture and honestly tastedstale. It needed a crust, and the sandwich as a whole needed flavor? anything!! Maybe some citrus and spice to freshen it upbecause the coleslaw was sad and soggy. He said he would rate the sandwich a 1/5, but because he is a hungry dumpster, he justate it anyways. Both of our fries were lukewarm. For $13-15 a plate? maybe? but buying an $18 sandwich, not on par. We didhave a nice experience with our waitress Avelynn who was very attentive and sweet, but, as a whole, 50% of the teenage girls onstaff can be a little cold and catty seeming. One of them got visibly annoyed when we asked if we could have a different tablethat wasn?t under the speaker. This place used to be our go to. We?re a little bummed ?? Read more

We have been coming here for years. YEARS. Why? Because of the food, the beer and the people. The food is solid. It's good.... It's consistent - but it's not old and tired. They do a good job with the idea of keeping thing consistent and yet there isoften something new. The menu gets an update a few times a year - the old favorites stay and new gems get added. The ChesapeakeChacos are something my dad from Texas asks about frequently (I don't remember ever seeing them off the menu) and I love thefish and chips. Their daily burgers - no you can't order them to a temp, yes they are going to be amazing. And, sometimes youcan catch a weekend when they trot out their dry aged burgers - they are good! The beer. Oh the beer. You can find IPA's,Stouts, Sours, and pretty much everything in-between. And they are a craft brew joint. You aren't going to find a Corona or aBud Light here - but if you need an easy drinking larger, ask for a Narragansett. The people - we've made friends on both sidesof the bar over the years and we have always felt welcomed no matter when we were there. Read more

The burgers themselves were a hit. We were nervous to see two patties listed on the menu but the size was perfect. Tried the... apricot jam- so good. All the toppings were fantastic. The old bay chips were not our favorite. But that could just be us notthe restaurant. The Smith cake we weren't fans of. It's dense but dry. And sadly the regular fries tasted burnt. BUT the sweetpotatoes fries were incredible!! Read more
