Arepas Capitol has the best arepas and empanadas in the area. We ended up ordering two arepas (pabellón and pollo), an empanada... con carne, side of yucca, the appetizer platter, and also ordered the quesillo and four empanadas to go. The service was great, and the food even better. Read more

First time trying Arepas. They were wonderful. The service was great. We got seated immediately. We arrived a little after... the lunch rush. We were greeted with a smile and hospitable staff. The Arepas were freshly assembled after we ordered andarrived steaming hot. The texture was great. The corn cake was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. We had chickensalad with avocado, chicken and cheese, tuna salad. All of them were flavorful. We finished up with an order of churros. Sogood. We will definitely be back to try some of their other offerings. Read more

Love the owners response....Please see it... 2.5 judges....On the fence with this restaurant. I am used to a friend from... Venezuela, Larry, who makes the most amazing Arepas so when i found this on Google I was very excited. But flavors were notclose to Larry's. We had Arepas of: 1. Tuna 2. Reina Pepiada (chicken with Avocado) 3. Carne Mechada (shredded meat) TheReina and Mechada were salty (class action lawsuit for promoting hypertension...lol) The fried plantains were on the spot. Thegarlic sauce was also very different from other Venezuelan Restaurants. It was chunky pieces of garlic. So, why I'm on thefence? Only one server, she seemed stressed out so we felt not welcomed. It was a sensation of "why are you here?" feeling.. or"Come on order quickly...lets get this done." comment. She did do her job, but not once a smile, or a hope to see you back. Tobe fair, we observed into the kitchen and no one was smiling. So, I don't know if that is their business culture. The dessert,Flan Quesillo was right on. Would I go back? Hummm, I have to. Maybe we went when everyone was having a bad day... Well, wewill keep you posted when we go back... Read more
