I'm a Brit in town for a week and needed a place to watch the United game and was recommended here. TVs in every corner which... was great, though I wish the sound was a little higher! I ordered a couple Mosaic IPAs and myself and two colleagues eachordered the sheperd's pie. The IPA was great but the pie was honestly terrible, and we each left the majority of it. Was reallylooking forward to it as I've been craving it for a while but this was off the mark. It also seems to be cooked on tin foil,which, for a dish which requires a knife and fork is a terrible idea. I had to spit out foil on multiple occassions to the pointwhere I just had to stop eating. Service was pretty bad - though this was clearly a lack of waiters/waitresses and I feel sorryfor them. I wanted another beer but being served on once an hour meant that wasn't going to happen (we were table seated). Askedfor water on multiple occassions but never received it. A few fingers of my beer was spilled at the table when handed off withno apology or offer to refill which irked me as well. You don't serve a pint if it's not full! Atmosphere for the game wasgreat, drink was great, but 100% would not go back for the food! Read more

It was a busy Saturday night when I visited this pub for the first time. The food was awesome (especially the pretzels,... shepherd's pie and brownie) and drinks were decent. If you go upstairs, you have to go to the bar for service but they give youa number to put at your table for when the food comes up. It has a sports bar vibe, so more for sports or watching a fight andless for conversation as it was loud. There were outside tables, if you could brave the heat. Read more
I had a taste for fish and chips and Blackfriar Pub came up so I decided to give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised. They... gave you 3 large battered fish over a plate of steak fries, with sides of tartar sauce and lemon. The fish was thick and meatyand perfectly battered and fried. Not overdone and not underdone. Just juicy and perfect. The steak fries were a hit too,right on the mark. The tartar sauce was home made and spot on. This place is not gourmet but I got exactly what I came for andthe quality and quantity was spot on. They had an indoor seating area and an extensive outdoor seating area. Everyone aroundme seemed to be enjoying their spirits. Overall I would recommend to my friends. Read more
This pub is awesome!!! My first time here and the staff was awesome. The GM Chad made sure that I was well taken care of and sat... down and talked with me. The pub is a great traditional style pub with all the modern amenities. If you like watching sportsthey have some nice big screens. If you want a dark corner to enjoy time alone with the that special someone they have thattoo. They serve great food and drinks. They have a large selection of beers and spirits. Outdoor patio with fire pit. Upstairsbar room and balcony that's really laid back. You can get whatever you want at this pub. Be sure you stop by and drop some cashhere and be sure to tip the staff as they are wonderful. You won't regret it. I highly recommend this place. Read more
Trivia Night is a blast and has become one our our favorite activities. Patrick is a great Trivia Master but it is definitely... adult oriented so leave the toddlers at home. Great Happy Hour prices. Fish and Chips are excellent. Read more
