This place is a hidden treasure in the heart of Oak Cliff. They have all types of cakes and sweet edibles you can fathom.... Central Market will always be my second choice forward. Read more

Cute place, love the vintage chairs. Desserts all look amazing and I noticed everyone was coming in to buy a whole cake! So it... must be amazing. I went for brunch and had the crab cakes. For many more reviews, please follow us on Facebook and Instagram at SNDTRAVELS and EATWELLTRAVELOFTEN on Facebook. Travel has... been limited for us lately, so finding new eats in our own backyard is our focus. Lately, we've been in the Bishop Arts Districtof Dallas, and today, we had brunch at Cretia's. This place has been around a while, and it's too bad we haven't checked in toit earlier. We've been missing out! Diane had the sweet onion quiche (today's) with fruit. One thing you notice right away isthat every part of the quiche is handmade. The pastry was flaky and buttery, cooked to perfection. The quiche was soft but, onceagain, cooked just right. The use of cream is present but just adds to the flavor instead of overpowering the other ingredients.I really don't think it can be improved on. The side of fruit was large pieces of watermelon, strawberries, blueberries, honeydew, and cantaloupe. All very good. Diane doesn't usually like honeydew, but she actually enjoyed theirs. I had Cretia'ssalad. Chicken fried chicken, bacon, tomatoes, cheddar, croutons, deviled eggs, and a creamy maple balsamic dressing. Thechicken was pounded thin, and the breading was just a dusting that was crunchy but delicate with just the right amount ofseasoning. The chicken just melted in your mouth. The salad itself was crisp and fresh, and the maple balsamic dressing wasreally good. Not too sweet as some tend to be. Our server, Angie, was friendly, professional, and helpful with themenu. Cretia's is known for its bakery, so we had to take a few things home that we will review after coffee and dessert at hometonight. ???? Overall, highly recommended two thumbs-up ???????? Update: Easter lunch with my mom and Diane's folks atCretia's. Once again we had a great meal and enjoyed our stay. Our server was friendly, helpful and on the spot withservice. The mom's both had the salad trio. Chicken salad, spinach salad and fruit. Dad chose the caramel and apple Frenchtoast. Was it Read more

Was meeting a friend for lunch and we wanted to try a new spot and Cretia?s was convenient for both. We each had a sandwich and... they were both delicious. After, we were tempted by the pie case, and the Chocolate Meringue Pie did not disappoint! Themeringue was light and sweet, and toasted to perfection, while the chocolate was dense and delicious. We will definitely beback!! Read more

Cretia?s did a fantastic job with a Mother?s Day order. I requested a yellow cake with buttercream icing, with Peonies... decorating the top. The sculpt and design of the flowers was great, with a clear script for the message. The cake was superb, alight and fluffy crumb that was incredibly moist. And the buttercream was delicious as well, not overpowering in sweetness. Eventhe 8 inch size was too much for us and we were more than happy to be able to freeze some. Highly recommend for cakes andcupcakes, though I haven?t tried any of their other desserts or cookies yet. Read more
