We went to the Massapequa, NY location last evening (5:30 pm) for an adult birthday get together. After being seated (nearby... the bar) we waited over an hour for a server. The area was not busy but there were service staff scurrying about, some cleaningtables, but mostly scurrying about without making eye contact, or any contact whatsoever. Finally, my husband caught theattention of a server and asked for service. About 15 minutes later a server came over. It was her intention to take ourdrinks order, but we instead, we gave her both our drinks and dinner order. Our soft drinks were served 30 minutes later andthe beer came by 15 minutes after that. We were told the bar was behind, working on 'service' orders (only 2 bar tenders workingand about 4 customers sitting at the bar). (Originally we sat at the bar waiting for our party. The bar surface areas were notcleaned, with stains and spills throughout.) We waited about 15 minutes for the bartender to attend to us, knowing full well wewere waiting for service and not attempting to make eye contact or acknowledge our presence. It was another 45 minutes until ourfood started to be served, but in drips and drabs only, with two orders having to be returned as they were incorrect. This isthe WORST 'dining' experience we've ever had. There is apparently no service training which ranges from greeting customers,taking orders, to keeping customers apprised of any delays. When we first walked in, I needed to text a guest, but there wasnot internet. When I asked the front desk for the password on the GUEST WIFI PROMPT WITHOUT A SECURE LOCK, she said they arenot allowed to give the passwords as per management! What!!! I made a reservation on November 9th for December 9th at 6:15 for 12 people. My reservation was confirmed and I had planned and... sent out invites to my daughters 10th birthday that we would have liked to have at Dave and Busters in Auburn, Wa. 3 days laterI get an email stating my reservation had been cancelled. I called the location and they said ?we have a private event, so wedon?t have room for you?. I asked if they cancelled my reservation to make room for the private event? the general manger ?Carl?said ?yes, I had to cancel it, nothing can be done? Worse place to have kids birthday parties! We had a party at the Dave and Busters in Euless, Texas. Madison Chauvin our "online... party organizer" completely ignored our calls, messages and emails. Apparently the people in charge of the party don't even getin contact with the local Dave and Busters where we had the party. We were OVERCHARGED for the number of guests who came to theparty, even though we followed the protocol. We let them know about the final count 5 day before the party just as it wassupposed to be and they acted as if they didn't even know. We were told we had to pay that day and we were going to bereimbursed later on and they are ignoring our messages. Unbelievably unorganized! I never imagined I was going to be scammed byDave and Busters! At the party we were left without a waiter. No drinks were served with the food. Everything that's on thewebsite is a LIE! They don't have plates available for cake and and no waiter available to help. We had to cut and eat the cakewith our hands. What a horrible and frustrating experience. A total SCAM! We basically paid $600 for 9 kids who didn't even haveanything to drink. They basically threw the food on a counter next to us on 3 big plates and we had to guess it was ours and itwas up to us to serve each kid and act as if we were waiters since little kids couldn't even reach that tall counter. It was acomplete mess. We also had to wait at the door to guide the guests to the party because NO ONE was at the reception aerea.
