This absolute staple of the traditional sandwich shop is my basis of comparison among all sandwich shops. The one that was on... Garland Road when I was growing up was a frequent stop on hot summer days spent with my grandmother and great aunt.Unfortunately, the news that this final location on Lemmon Avenue is closing at the end of December 2021 made this tripbittersweet. The food is still stellar, the shop is charming and I wish I could hold onto this piece of Dallas childhood alittle longer. Bon Voyage, Great American Hero, the memories will always be fond. ?? Hands down the best Sub Sandwich Shop in Dallas and the best sandwich shop in Texas. The best submarine sandwich I've ever had.... Italian #1 is highly recommended. Fresh Quality ingredients and even the lettuce was shredded fresh! Awesome staff and theservice was friendly. Please support this business while your in the Dallas area. P.S. The vegan delight sandwich is pretty good. Be sure to double check they add the toppings you ask since I was missing my sprouts... even though I asked for it today which was disappointing since I was looking forward to them. Not many toppings inside. It’s agood option and thankful they have gluten free bread. Just wish there were other vegan options! Read more
