Absolute wonderful place to visit overall. We love Haywire as we have been huge fans of the Plano location and we’re super... excited when they opened the Dallas location so we had to try! You are greeted with a very friendly Valet, reception ofrestaurant, and our server, Stella, was very receptive of our request along with being tentative to our table. We will ask forher on the next visit! You may ask yourself why I gave it a four star, The food is amazing but I did enjoy the food from thePlano version better. The marble potatoes with the mustard vinaigrette from the Plano location hit all right spots while addinga little more acid/tartness to the dish. Although with the uptown location they did a smoky savory sauce that was very tasty,but I’ll give overall flavor for the taste to Plano. Comfort food at its finest along with some of the most delicious steak I've ever had. Elk tacos and venison chilli is a must! ... Onion rings and fried green tomatoes are perfect, with or without the dipping sauce they come with! The drinks, the ambianceand the food provide an incredible ambiance that makes you forget about everything! My friend and I came just for a couple drinks, but it took quite awhile for us to even get one. We sat at the bar and... immediately one bartender said he’d “be right with us.” After about 10 min, he said the same thing. Finally after another5 min or so, another bartender came over and served us. We were going to get another drink, but then it seemed like thebartenders were ignoring us. It looked like they saw us and we even tried to wave a couple of them down, but they just keptwalking by. We decided to just ask for the check, and immediately the lady went and made herself a drink, and I guess it finallyclicked cause she yelled “oh s***” and then got our check. She was sorry so props to her for owning her mistake, but thatwas the theme of the night. I’ll maybe try this place another time for some food and all, but was not impressed thistime. Update: I came back and dined with the family. Food was really good and large portions (the pictures of the steak andchicken fried steak are half portions they already split for us). Our server Nick was outstanding. The nicest guy and had the best recommendations. This place is a whole vibe and we loved every... moment of it. The food was delicious and the serving sizes were large. With all we got, we spent about $200 without the tip andit was worth it. The pecan pie was to DIE FOR! The blackened catfish was phenomenal, the HUGE PORK CHOP was beyond good and thesteak and sides were outstanding! Oh, and don’t sleep on the drinks. They’ll creep up on you if you catch my drift lol. My Bestie & I have been trying different Brunch Spots around Dallas. This Sunday's choice was Haywire. I love that they offer... Valet parking for a very nominal fee ($5) & we were parked right near the entrance. We ordered the Mimosa Flight, Chef'sFavorite 4 Appetizer Sampler along w/the Steak & Eggs & Haywire Ranch Hand Breakfast for our entrees. The Elk Tacos & FriedGreen Tomatoes were our favorites from the Appetizer Sampler & our entrees we're also good. Our waiter Jeremiah was Fantastic &we loved the ambiance & decor of the restaurant.
