My daughter and black grandchildren were denied seating despite having called ahead. They tried to say it was because they only... had one cook. When my white husband and I walked in, they offered us a table until they realized my Hispanic daughter and blackteenage grandchildren, who they just denied a table, would be sitting with us. They only had 2 tables of which already had foodin front of them. I shared a picture. The cook was not in the weeds. I was in town visiting from Memphis and stumbled across this place because they had bread pudding which I love! The atmosphere... is very nice..bougie! The bartender was very friendly and attentive although it was just her. I got the Crawfish Creole Pasta.It was delicious! My mother had The Who Dat Special with the Fried Catfish along with fries and slaw. The slaw was disgustingbut everything else was good. Their only vice is that they do not have sweet tea..only unsweetened. The bread pudding was goodbut it contains pecans! Give this place a try in downtown Dallas. Service was great great and friendly! The servers are passionate and love the food, which translates to excellent... recommendations! We had the alligator bites, the fish and chip special (cod) and the NOLA burger. The NOLA burger was cookedperfectly! Everything was tender and had excellent cajun flavor. Came here for a quick lunch with my coworker and overall we were satisfied with the food and customer service. They have a... lunch menu you can order from (with limited options) and I ordered the soup and salad (Maison add blackened shrimp and gumbo).The food came out fairly quickly although they were slightly busy.
