Good evening. I?m 60 years old and when I was 13 my mother took me to the Mermaid Bar for my 13th birthday. At 13 your very... skeptical of mom?s idea of a birthday lunch celebration. To my surprise 7 of my best friends awaited me and the staff was readytoo! Such wonderful food, staff and delicious cakes have brought me back with my daughters and now granddaughters. As of thelast 4 visits the food has changed so much it?s not the same and those childrenhood memories have been crushed. Especially thesandwiches, salads and just about everything!! My salmon on the tacos was so over cooked (second) time now I couldn?t even eatit. So dissatisfied with it all I?m sad to say I will never go back to by beloved Mermaid bar after 47 years. Read more

Ugh. The kitchen can\'t organize themselves so that all the orders come out at the same time. By the time the chicken salad... and grilled cheese sandwiches came out, the \'burger was cold.\n\nThis place is expensive, but the food isn\'t. The $20 burgeris just a burger, same as Chili\'s or hundreds of other places. The $17 chicken salad had a terribly under-ripe and tastelesstomato and the chicken salad itself tastes like it came from the Kroger deli.\n\nAvoid this place. Read more

I\'ve been to many Neiman Marcus restaurants in the past, and I invariably order the Mandarin orange souffle. Not only did the... meal here not include the typical chicken broth and popovers, the chicken salad was terrible and chunky. We had to pay $2.50 perpopover and they were cold. When I asked for poppyseed dressing for the salad, I was told they would bring it, and they did not.The waitress and hostess were also rude and condescending. I always receive excellent service from Neiman Marcus. This was notthe case here. I will not be back. Read more

If you are looking for a fun girls night, this is your spot. Cocktails are too sweet but for a glass of bubbles I would be back!... The service is 5 star ?? there was a gentlemen young, dark hair, stylish and going to school for fashion. I forgot his name butthe sweetest guy, took photos, got cocktails and friendly. Amazing music, they have bubbles blowing in the wind and theatmosphere is beautiful! All details were thought out. Read more

Really sad to see such a wonderful staple under perform during this time.\n\nUnderstandably the menu has significantly changed,... but what is not understandable is the removal of staples that were the most beloved plates. It seems they just took some offthings from the cafe (upstairs) menu and some things from the Mermaid Bar (first floor) and made a new menu.\n\nThe tortillasoup is still the best in town, and now you can order popovers here and that wonderful strawberry butter.\n\nService is lacking.I was asked three times if I was done with my plate, and I wasn\'t but I finally just said \"take it,\" so the wait staff wouldstop placing their hand on my plate. We felt very rushed.\n\nTo top it off, the drinks were awful. I wanted something refreshingso I went for the $12 NM Blueberry Margarita -doesn\'t that sound refreshing on a warm day? Well, it tasted like Mad Dog 20/20.It was the worst cocktail I\'ve ever tasted.\n\nMy advice -maybe order 1/2 dozen pop overs and leave it at that -everything elseis a bummer. Read more
