Got the catfish with coleslaw and fries for 11$ out the door. Service was absolutely awesome. Such sweet and pleasant people... that make you feel comforted. Catfish melts in your mouth as another user said. Not too much breading, perfect ratio. Coleslawis great Try their lunch specials for a delicious dessert addition- only 10.49. Let?s say what was good first. I worked with owner, DeeDee over phone for a couple of weeks to bring a tour group of 26 guests... on a Friday evening. She was very pleasant and helpful. A little bit scattered and overwhelmed like many small business ownersthese days, but she eventually called me back and we agreed on menu choices and other details of the group?s visit. I thoughtit was interesting that she made a point to tell me of another bus group they had who were rude to her servers and it was not apleasant experience. I assured her that would not be the case with our group, but my antennas did go up about ?why?. When wearrived the place was clean with cute decor and they were set up and waiting for us. I called DeeDee from the road several timesthat day with our ETA update because we did run almost 1 hour behind. When we arrived the restaurant was already starting tojump with Friday night business. The staff were fairly pleasant, but they and other patrons looked alarmed to see 26 AfricanAmerican entering the restaurant. If looks could kill kind of thing. Now maybe that was because we were a big group on a big busor maybe it was because we are people of color, as that is how it felt. No one said anything out of the way or rude, they werejust staring and the staff was a bit ?surprised? is how I would describe them. We chose from fried TN catfish or smoked TNmeatloaf. Both were paired with baked potato, green beans and apple cobbler, and all were tasty. We had agreed to have wineglasses for byob wine and that worked. We also agreed to sweet tea and sodas which were never offered. When I mentioned it tothe staff and DeeDee, it was although I was asking for something extra and a bit of a production ensued to fulfil drink ordersat each table. There was one waitress for our group while other workers just stood around gawking at our group including a youngman who could not answer any of my questions because he said he has only worked there 5 days. It is large and spacious inside. Friendly attentive wait staff. Awesome food, we had 1/2 rack of BBQ ribs with the sauce baked... on, side salad and FF which we split. Other's had BBQ Platter and 2 sides, chicken wings & onion rings. We highly recommend. Read more

Our first time here - We were surprised at their ?market prices? for being an average sized family restaurant, but gained high... hopes for a good quality meal. Unfortunately it fell extremely short. First - no kid friendly drinks , no lemonade , juice , oreven milk. We asked our server her favorite meal , she stated the meats are smoked in house? We ordered a cowboy steak Rare @$35 and a 6oz sirloin Med rare @ $17. The cowboy steak was amazingly UNEVENLY COOKED. Cooked med well on a good portion of thecut and closest to the bone. My sirloin was far from having any flavor. It was the blandest chewiest steak I?ve ever had.Definitely an easy decision to not go back. Read more
