We are driving cross country and stopped in Davenport for the night. We decided to try out this restaurant and boy are we glad... we did!! Such a cute place! Decor was awesome, food over the top! We had a very mixed experience here. Our waitress was very slow and seemed confused about our order. She didn't turn in our... order until about 20 minutes after we placed it. Others at the restaurant were very helpful and helped get our food to us. Still, it took over 45 minutes to get our food. The homemade baked potato soup was excellent and my fried chicken was verygood. My wife was not impressed with her salad. We'd probably try the place again but were disappointed on this first visit. Wow! Great restaurant with delicious homemade food. Our server Ashley was FANTASTIC! She persuaded me to order the award... winning porkchops for dinner. I have NEVER EVER in my life ordered pork chops out! They were so delicious!! The sauce on top wassooo good along with mushrooms. The fried chicken and garlic mashed potatoes was delicious also. There was so much food we hadit for lunch the next day. They offer family style homemade cole slaw, spicy apples and mixed vegetables. We were the last onesin the restaurant and was able to have a nice conversation with the manager who had friends back East where we live. Such agreat dining experience. This was a great breakfast on a cold morning. The coffee and the staff were warm and welcoming. The pork producers breakfast was... just perfect withe ham and thick sliced bacon.
