The Hibachi area was very cold, dark and uninviting plus our food took forever to cook and was overcooked plus the waiter got to... us last even though we were the first ones who got in the room. Both the Rangoons and gyoza was extremely overcooked andtasteless. Plus the Hibachi cook was Extremely Loud and in future I won't even bother going to Kani anymore because my daughteris autistic and the fire show in front of her doesn't bother her but the dude banging every metal thing possible in front of heris ridiculous. I’ve never had such poor customer service that what I experienced at this establishment. I waited for over 15 minutes at the... bar and neither of the 2 bartenders even acknowledged my presence. All while at least two other males had come up to andreceived their take out order. It wasn’t until I finally inserted myself and said I was there to pick up an order that I wasrecognized (though standing directly in front of the cash register, after moving there from standing at the end of the bar forthe first 10minutes). They asked for my name and both of them disappeared and again I stood waiting. The younger of tworeturned, I asked if there was an issue with my order. He then said someone had just come in and said they were me & took myfood order. When the main bartender returned, I asked if there was an issue & was told the same. While challenging thisexplanation as I am from out of town & highly doubt there is another “me”, he shrugged his shoulders and didn’t make eyecontact. I suggested next time he communicate to the customer so that they/I know what is going on. He then responded “sorry Iwas busy getting your food ready.” All in all, aside from waiting the amount of time from when my order was “promised” towhen I received food in hand was well over an hour. The curt response from the second bartender was not only rude butdisrespectful. I’ve worked in the restaurant business all my life & have never experienced such poor customer service as this.Thankfully I could see the food being made and it only took minutes, however, based on this alone, it would be hard to return toa place like this that allows staff to disrespect customers such as I’ve experienced. I was so frustrated that I didn’t evensee names for either. The food was good though, props to the chef(s). Read more

My family and I love coming here and make it a place to share special occasion lunches, like a birthday or celebration. The... waitstaff is super nice, and the food is always satisfactory! Meadow served us today, and I can't help but compliment herpositive demeanor and customer service. Thank you so much! Read more

Better than Benihana or any other options in the Gainesville area. Our waiter was fun and interesting. Try the black fried... rice, has a nice flavor. Read more
