We've been here in Dayton for years and had heard about the Meadowlark restaurant but never took the opportunity. Why did we... wait so long? The food was delicious, the service was quick and efficient (Justin had some great suggestions on the specialtynon alcoholic drinks) and the atmosphere casual. You would be comfortable in jeans or a sport coat. I had the SpaghettiCarbonara with smoked bacon and parmigiana cheese and she had the Salmon Saltimbocca, salmon wrapped in salt cured bacon alongwith roasted brussel sprouts and baked potatoes. There's also an extensive desert list but we were too stuffed to sample one. Agreat place.... we're surely going back. Read more

Unquestionably one of Dayton's finest restaurants, Meadowlark also lately features some of the most exacting Google reviewers... .... I have visited several times this week. I was treated very well, the service was impeccable, the place looked and smelledfabulous. There is much to praise in Meadowlark's menu, which I won't repeat. I will emphasize that their soups are the verybest available in Dayton at any price. I would love to see them offer more of those, but that's just my own preferences. Read more

This is hard for me. I have loved Meadowlarks food for awhile. We started eating here around the beginning of the pandemic and... have always gotten curbside. Usually that's great albeit they've forgotten a few things here and there but never really any mealruining mistakes. Today we made our first venture inside for dining. We arrived slightly before opening and with it being hotoutside decided to let everyone else form a line to get in and we would wait in the car until the doors were opened. When thathappened we headed in to find an pretty long and slow line to be seated which was a bummer but again not a deal breaker. We werefinally seated, ordered drinks a some fruit for our toddler to keep her busy as she was getting hangry by this point. Weeventually were able to place our entree order and I don't know what happened next. My husband was brought his soup, my daughterwas brought her meal, and I was left there sad faced, pregnant, and starving. I was cool to wait a bit but it was going on 40+minutes since we had ordered and I was pretty ravenous at this point and had a doctor's exam to head to. We asked for the foodto go and I tried eating in the car but overall it ruined the experience for me and just wasn't as good. The food is stillgreat, everyone is friendly enough, I'm just not a fan of the dining in experience and probably won't ever attempt that againhere. Read more

Love Meadowlark! My crab spaghetti was perfect and full of flavor. My daughters halibut was bland, I did taste it. She said... the whole dish was a disappointment. I didn't taste the rice. The halibut was cooked really well but for what she paid I expectmore. I used to own a fine dining restaurant so I know flies are inevitable but these were quite large .We killed 1 and therewere still a couple buzzing around. I haven't been in a while and it may be awhile before I return. Read more
