Big enough to attract good sized productions but small enough to have a "cozy" hometown feel.

Overall I had a great experience at Wright State. The professors were knowledgeable in their respected fields and always willing... to help. Parking could be tricky. It was almost always too crowded around the main buildings to find a spot. So I parked in Lot20 and took the shuttle. I think WSU is really going to need to address the parking situation sometime in the near future. Read more

The teachers are the only good part of this university. I love every second spent in class with my professors, but their gross... mismanagement of finances and terrible customer support, which has only been declining as I've gone here, are not worth youreffort. This University once was cutting edge. It is a great place to start certain educational pursuits. If you are a grad student,... this is a great opportunity. Undergrads? You'd get better bang for your dollar elsewhere. The financial problems of thisschool has negatively impacted the school's ability to grow and recruit at a competitive level. The leadership of the school -President & Board of Trustees - has been lackluster at best in the past 20 years. The result is loss of sports programs,inability to attract and retain quality student+centered professors. The school is ANTI-First Amendment with respect to allstudents have equal voice, freedom of thought and expression. The one major advantage Wright State University has is itsproximity to auto industry, defense industry, research opportunities, space (satellite) development and well-supported (by localcommunities) student life. I like Wright State University. I went there years ago and I still go to campus for various reasons. It feels like a good size -... big enough to have a lot of different courses but small enough to learn and traverse fairly quickly. They have added several bigbuildings in recent decades that continue to improve what they can offer. I highly recommend considering them and learning morethan just these reviews. Read more
