Great Venezuelan food. Love the upstairs deck. Food is fresh. Empanadas and tequenos are delicious. We love arepa pabellon and... reina pepiada . However the last time we were there it was slow. It was at least 45 minutes to get food. We?d never waited thatlong at this place before. Read more

My wife and I went to Arepita Beach during the art fest on Beach Street because we love arepas and other Venezuelan food. This... was one of the worst experiences we have had at a restaurant in Volusia County. It took us 10 minutes to order due to the factthat they only had 1 server/ cashier and 1 cook working. When we went upstairs to sit, almost every table was unbussed with antscrawling on old food. The server took 30 minutes to bring our drinks and 40 minutes to bring our food. The arepas were smallportions. My wife got the cheese arepa which had a warm shell with a block of cold cheese inside. I got the steak arepa whichalso had cold cheese and was flavorless. I will never go back to this restaurant again. I was so disappointed with everything.Small portions of undercooked food should at least cost less. Read more

While the food may be excellent, the service is downright poor. Moreso is their inability to manage on first come first serve... basis. They were using the LIFO method which is speaks to the front of house to either not care or not understanding how thingsshould work or just poor training. How is it that we watch three orders before us get this orders delivered we got ours. Evenwith repeated reminders, we waited nearly 45 minutes. It resorted to standing at the counter and watching them make the order. The food may be great but the service leaves a lot to be desired. Read more

We came after we saw it on Diners Drive-ins and Dives. It's a super small place and a little understaffed BUT it was so worth... the wait. Everything we ordered was amazing. I can't pronounce any of it but I had the empanada appetizer and my roommate hadsomething like cheese sticks but a million times better. And then I had an arapa with steak and it was delicious. Oh I forgot tomention the homemade garlic sauce...to die for. I think this is going to be my new go to place. Read more
