I went to Cafe Lily Saturday night with a group of my graduate school classmates for a reunion at Emory. Everyone raved about... the place. They gave us our own room, there were 10 of us and I immediately felt comfortable as I walked into the restaurant.Very clean, very attentive service, and the food was delicious. My (now) wife and I held our wedding rehearsal dinner of 20+ people at Cafe Lily. The process to set up a private event was... extremely easy and the restaurant staff were very responsive before our event. We were able to pick a set menu and hold ourevent in the semi private room the Peacock room. We were able to arrive at the room as early as noon on the day of our event todecorate but we found this to be unnecessary due to the decorations already in the room (white table cloths, black napkins, andvases with flowers.) We did set up an easel with a printed picture of the couple and our amazing servers went above and beyondin order to help us decorate it with flowers we had brought. The service staff was amazing and attentive to each guests keepingglasses full, orders taken quickly and efficiently, and brought out to the correct people. Our first dining experience here and we will definitely be back! The front of the house staff was warm and welcoming. She ended... up waiting on us because they were busy for a Tuesday and only had 2 servers. (We are very patient post pandemic). We had themussels for an appetizer. Yummy white garlic option. I only wish that it had come with some bread to sop up that amazing sauce,but I saved it for my fries and enjoyed again with lunch. I had the lamb burger. It was cooked to perfection and on a toastedciabatta bun. At first, it looked like too much bread, but once I started eating, I found that it was to perfect ratio. Myspouse had the tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwich. Sounds basic, right? No way!! It was elevated, elevated, elevated!! Iwatched it disappear in minutes! He loved it! As a bonus: we stumbled in on a Tuesday. $5 martinis!! They had an entire menupage of choices. Espresso martini for dessert. We loved our experience here and will definitely be back to Cafe Lily!! The atmosphere is nice. The staff are all sweet too. The food unfortunately, not good at all. I ordered the Vegan Lily, while my... friend ordered the french toast. When it arrived, it all tasted old and undercooked. We couldn’t finish our plates. All inall, it’s a cozy little hangout spot…but I wouldn’t eat there again. Read more
