It?s too bad that a bartender can ruin your experience. We sat at the bar and our bartender did not say one thing positive. We... were a hassle. The other bartender tried to make up for him.the woman who cleared our plates was wonderful. The food was not wewere expecting in a negative way. It was not good at all. This restaurant is a gem on the lake. Lake Lawn Resort\'s former Frontier Restaurant location has been transformed into 1878 on... the Lake. The windows look out onto the stunning Delavan Lake, and the decor is fresh and coastal. It\'s perfect for acelebration or a night out with a special someone.\n\nWe began with the delicious smoked cherry cocktail and maple baconlollipops, which we dipped in a honey shot. Next came a wedge salad and soup. The white cheddar popcorn that was included withthe beer cheese soup gave it a unique texture and complimented the soup\'s wonderful flavor. The Angus filet and the wing bonechicken paillard were our entrées and were amazing. The cooking staff made sure the presentation of the food was near perfectbefore it was brought out, and the waitress finished the presentation after she placed it on the table. And it was followed upwith an apple crisp. And the bar top is especially cool with a zen-style sand pattern that is constantly moving. Next time, I amtrying the burger! Read more

My family and I are long time former regular customers. We long for your former menu BEFORE Chef Ross. Wisconsin Turkey and... Wisconsin Entrees. Spaghetti O\'s on the Child\'s menu. We have been customers of this restaurant (The Frontier Dining Room) forover 30 years. We have very fond memories of Winnie and Anne; your former hostesses. We visited at least two times per monthfor the Seafood Buffet on Friday evenings and the Prime Rib Buffet on Saturdays. Yes, we would visit two nights in a row attimes. We would frequent the Lunch/Business Buffet (before Chef Ross). My family and I would enjoy your small chaffing traysand cold deli meats and cheese offerings. The soup on the lunch buffet and desserts were wonderful; as were the small entreeofferings. We would purchase your Dining Club Card every year. We miss the old menu and former chefs. The Chef after Chef Rosskeep the former menu and now he is no longer with you. We truly miss the former Frontier Dining Room menu. We have reviewedyour new menu and are no longer interested in dining at 1878 on the Lake. Please do not...discard your long time faithfuldiners. We truly miss dining at Lake Lawn Lodge. Read more
