Great under the radar spot. If your looking for a simple place to stay, this is it. It feels so cozy. Location is awesome... with restaurant and bars at the doorstep of the hotel entrance. Read more

I always wanted to stay in this Historic Hotel but it was really nothing special. The front desk was completely disinterested in... what they were doing and not helpful at all. We asked what time the gift shops close they said 8:00 but they closed at 5:00 sowe missed them. The front desk prople worked in the same building and didn't even know. We could not get coffee before 7:00 inthe morning there was none in the room and none out for the customers we traveled the whole city before finding McDonald's wewanted to see the sunrise with coffee. There was only one towel in the bathroom for two of us no refrigerator in the room forleftover food from a restaurant visit. I will admit it was extremely clean and very simple and taste. We went to the so-calledBeach Club where they had a pool for the guests but the place was pretty run down and we didn't even want to stay so we left allin all disappointed. Read more

If you want a fancy hotel from the turn of the century, stay here! You could tell this place was the Ritz of its time. Wide open... spaces. Plenty of seats at the bar. Live music until midnight. We stayed in a corner room with a queen bed, with great views. The bathroom is spacious and extremely clean. Everyone that worked there is exceptionally nice. They made us feel verywelcome. The hotel is perfectly located within walking distance of literally a hundred places to eat, shop, and drink. Thesights and sounds of this hotel are wonderful. You really feel like you stepped back in time. We stayed on a Saturday nightduring July and the price for one night was $157 with tax. I would recommend staying here, as we plan to do so in the future. The only drawback is where the pool is located. It's a mile down the road, but they offer a shuttle if you want. There's alsoplenty of parking. The pool is huge and the beach is next to the parking lot. 10 out of 10 would stay here again! Read more
