Love the paninis! Staff is always friendly and a great spot for lunch, especially on nice sunny days on the patio! Staff can be... a little slow to make drinks sometimes but usually are very prompt otherwise. Read more
DO NOT ORDER THE AVOCADO TOAST HERE. Sorry, you can't sell dry pieces of toast with the minimum amount of manufactured avocado... spread and call it avocado toast. Update, owner refunded amount and apologized. Kudos for that. I will be back. Mocha coffeeand breakfast bagel was very good. Read more
Ordered a turkey club sandwich and a mango smoothie. Got the smoothly, it was okay but kinda bland. Our turkey club came with... mustard on it and the menu says it comes with mayo. It also took a very long time to be served I'd estimate 20 mins. I askedthem to remake the sandwich which they did and within 5 minutes. However, I then got what I can only describe as a vegetablemedly with a slice of turkey and half a piece of bacon, between two pieces of white bread. It had stripes of green and redpepper, pickles and red onion,mayo one slice of deli turkey meat and half a slice of bacon. By this time I was tired of waitingand my one year old was getting unruly. Went from Vancouver and experience with mocha with whipped cream was a stunner and also the stuffed mushrooms with cream cheese... sauce is extraordinary.... Live music ...outdoor patio right along the street planning to go back... My partner and I have frequented this spot for years - the food is always what brings us back but the service leaves something... to be desired. Our last visit a big fly was in the front display landing on all the baked goods. I let a staff member know ofthe fly in case they were not aware. Immediately they were defensive and told me "there's nothing they can do about it". I wassurprised by the response - I was not accusatory or demanding in my initial statement - I just wanted to let them know. Iunderstand it can be difficult to deal with flies in a bakery but the optics of a fly casually lounging on the pastries for saleisnt great. I ordered a curried chicken salad and they joked that there would be no flies in that. I did not find the jokefunny. I honestly should have left at this point but we were hungry.
