I want to go see the movie "Smile" there this week. Drove over an hour from the New Orleans Metro to meet a friend there. Of... course I've never been being used to going to the Palace in Metairie, the theater by Esplanade mall in Kenner, Laplace, andGonzales. Me and my friend proceed to get tickets and we see on the lighted sign a price of 11.75, which is roughly the averageprice I'm used to paying. So, when we're told it's 15 dollars plus tax, we are shocked. We point out the sign showing 11.75,hoping they would honor the price. They say they can't. The person says they can't change the sign. Even if that were to betrue, couldn't they leave the movies lit up on sign, and just cover the prices. Makes sense to me. Why do false advertising?? Orhonor the price showing like everyone else would. These people saw nothing wrong at all with them advertising on the sign 11.75,and charging 15.00 plus tax. It was like, oh well. Well, it's not ok. We paid because we didn't have time to drive anywhere elseby this time, but we sure didn't want too. Not only were we the only ones in the theater room smile, we were actually the onlypaying customers in the whole theater. It was only workers. At those prices they are charging, I can see why they had no othercustomers at all. I called Metairie and Gonzales for prices, and they were both 12 dollars and 10.75 for night showings. Myfriend said Perkins Rowe is also about the same as Metairie and Gonzales. SO WHY IS THIS MOVIE THEATER SO MUCH MORE SPECIAL THANTHE OTHERS?? IT'S NOT! NOTHING SPECIAL AT ALL COMPARED TO OTHERS. DO THEY THINK BECAUSE THERE'S A BAR TO GET ALCOHOL INSIDE,MAKES IT SPECIAL?? It doesn't. We didn't even get a beer at the 6.75 a beer they change. We got one after. Then, when thepreviews of other movies play, there is no sound. We think there will be trouble with the movie, so I alerted a worker there,and he said sometimes sound dosen't play on previews. It's a good venue. It makes it enjoyable experience. I would give it five stars but I'm not exactly happy about some of the... content they choose to show for their previews. I'm sure it's a corporate decision, but it still needs to be said. Read more

This has to be the worst place ever . I rather buy the movie on Cox and just order food from a restaurant. First of all they... don?t tell me until 25 mins later that they can?t make my food so I have to pick something else , you would have thought since Iwaited all ready they would have hurry with my food . Nope I finally get a cheese burger a hour later . Then it?s only 8 and Ican?t get another drink at the bar cause she did inventory . I run a restaurant and she did it way to early specially since at8:50 she still at the bar . So I know she wasn?t getting off when she told me at 8. It?s sad I?m guessing that?s why they don?thave many movie times because of how sadly the help is. They are already expensive so you would think you would be able to getstuff and on a timely manner . I would never go back. Definitely bad customer service . I don?t see the place being there verylong with already no movie times but one and can?t even help the customers they do have. Read more

Due to staff storage or just people not wanting to do their job... bad experience with the staff and concessions. The manager... was rude. The staff were incompetent... we gave our order multiple times and every time it was wrong... don't know how hard alarge bucket of popcorn and 6 drinks are but they didn't get it right! And because of their mistake we had to get up during themovie to correct it... twice! We will not be going there again. Read more

The movie was great. The food delivery sucked. We ordered to be delivered at 2:20pm. It was 20 minutes late. My pizza was cold.... My husbands hamburger was cold. Did not get our drinks. Asked FOUR times for our beverages. I had to go to the drink stand andget them 27 minutes later. Unacceptable for the price. Do better. Read more
