Took a marine just out of training. He was impressed that baked apples are a veg and peach cobbler was on the desert menu. The... place was busy and I think understaffed, maybe someone called in sick. Waitstaff was apologetic and we got free rolls,tasty. The food was good and plentiful. Update 8/19/2022. I forgot to update my review last month when I left because my food was never brought out. For some reason,... we decided to come back today. There is hardly anyone in the restaurant (see picture) and once again the service is agonizinglyslow. We have been seated for an hour and still have not seen our food (table of 4). This is not limited to one employee. Thisis persistent enough that it is indicative as a management issue and probably a neglectful owner. We left after an hour and ahalf with no food once again. I am truly done with this place. Update: 2/15/2022: tonight was much better. Service was fastand the food was good. Updated stats reflect the average. Tonight's service was 5 stars. The restaurant was only 1/4 full. There were 4 cold in the kitchen and it took an hour and twenty minutes to get out food. The food tasted good. An apologywas made by our waited but that was it. We went on Saturday for lunch and even though it was crowed, the receptionist / waitress who seated us was very friendly. She... also was our waitress and took great care of us. Always attentive and looking out for our best experience. The food was great,my wife had the Grilled chicken with a sweet glaze and I had the vegetable platter. We will have been there twice since movingto the area and will definitely return. Read more
They have $7 lunch specials, however I felt ignored the first 10 minutes. People who came in after me had drinks before anyone... asked me what I wanted to drink. My lunch special came, looked good BUT it was cold. :( I asked for a box and now I'm going tomicrowave it at work so I can eat it. A major let down. Had chicken fried steak and gravy it was delicious the portion was okay the price was a couple of dollars high but the food was... delicious. The house salad with blue cheese is fresh and crunchy********just went back and ate and my wife and i both got sickwithin 4 hours of leaving the restaurant. I know what food poisoning is and I know how long it takes to hit and I know when itshould be over. We were sick within 4 hours after leaving that restaurant and ate the exact same meal and we were sick for closeto exactly the same amount of time.
