Fun atmosphere and great staff. Slight improvements could be made salad dressing was amazing but the wet salad watered down the... taste. The Rocky Mountain oysters are the best I have ever had. The elk steak was very good but the buffalo…too muchtenderizer and a taste that I cannot put my finger on. I typically love buffalo. The quail was okay…not how grandma fixed it-and all the beef steak around us looked great. Awesome place to experience and wandering was encouraged… make a reservationand request downstairs for older folks … Read more

This a most historic restaurant in Denver! There a lot of animals specimens around, which were hunted by themselves. The types... of meat are various! We tasted two sets of combinations. The buffalo is the most delicious for me. The Rocky Mountain oyster isspecial and tasty that I highly recommend to order! The vibe is pretty great here. This is a fantastic restaurant for thetourists. The service is also very nice. Read more

Had a reservation, checked in, they said the tables were really backed up and slow so I chose to sit at the bar upstairs. ... Started off with a bottle of Odell 90 Shilling Ale. Then had a half order of Rocky Mountain Oysters. This was the first timetrying it, I would say it was like a firmer calamari. Tasted good but trying it once in my life is enough but the creamyhorseradish that came with it was amazing. Then I ordered the Bison and Elk plate. It came with both meats, mashed potatoes andgreen beans. The cuts of meat were maybe 6 oz or less of each. The Bison was tougher meat, cooked at medium rare and fairlypink, it is still very lean cut of meat. The Elk was not as lean. Both were solid. The mashed potatoes were really good and myfavorite. Overall solid food and a place that embodies Denver’s history. Read more

Incredible food, interesting atmosphere, fascinating history. Such a unique dining experience and an incredibly varied menu.... It's hard to choose between getting what you know you love and trying something new because everything is so great. You couldspend hours just walking through and looking at the walls. Try the rocky mountain oysters - you'll be surprised how good theyare! The service was top notch. Can't wait to come back again. Read more

In town in business from KY. This was the number one place I wanted to come to. Staff was excellent. Rocky Mountain Oysters... we're cooked perfectly. My only complaint was the horseradish cream sauce want spicy enough. I had the buffalo prime rib. It wasdelicious. My husband had elk and bison and said both were great. Thank you for a wonderful meal and memory. Read more
