I entered at 5P to a reasonably lit, empty, open bar for Happy Hour. Within minutes, manager twice dimmed the lights so low and... dim that I could no longer read the menu without light from my phone. Lady who sat next to me at bar also had to get her phoneout to read menu. Do you not want us to know what you have to offer ChoLon? There was absolutely nothing wrong with the level oflight when I entered. Upon ordering, I mentioned low light level to bartender who seemed to feign deafness at this. The FrenchOnion Soup Dumplings are terrific! They're kinda like steamed Shu Mai, but taste just like FOS. I also got potstickers, whichwere just good, not amazing. Bartender, nor anyone else filled up my small 8 oz water glass. I didn't ask, but I believe oneshouldn't have to. During my time there, at least 3 times, food runners came up to me asking if I had ordered whatever they hadon the plate they carried. I estimated my HH bill to be a subtotal of $17, so I was shocked when bill was $41! I tried in vainto get inattentive bartenders' attention, but I'm sure, it being so dark, contributed to this snafu. I waved, vocalize, but hedidn't see, so I sat there longer than necessary, occupying valuable space at their small bar during HH... The two girls onother side of me, who entered before end of HH, were trying to pay at same time I was, and had same issue I had with beingcharged regular prices vs HH and had to explain this to Bartender. His excuse was he normally enters work at 5:30, so out ofhabit he charged full price. The 2 girls asked if I had been there before, I said no, they said you have to advocate foryourself to get the right prices. I said that's not a good business model. And so, of all the places who offer HH, I'm notlikely to return there. Read more

Food was very very small portioned. Picture is 2 orders of soup dumpling and 3 orders of beef skewers during happy hour. Sign... outside said best dumplings in Denver… I really hope this isn’t true; I’ve had frozen dumplings that were mich better.Everything is overpriced even during happy hour. Left hungry and unsatisfied. The wokaway drink was good but also expensive fora little drink in a short glass with lots of ice. Meh, don’t get the great reviews. Place is nice inside looking inside butthats about it. Read more

Enjoyed a wonderful meal out on the patio. The staff was very friendly and upbeat. Willing to answer questions and offer... suggestions. Glaze salmon was excellent. The Vietnamese coffee top the meal off perfectly. Looking forward to my next visit. Read more

Went here for Denver restaurant week. Online it was very confusing. It stated it would be $35 per person for 3 starters, an... entree and a dessert. Once we got there, they stated it would be $70 for two people and everything was to share. Starters were areasonably sized portion but the entree to share, was enough for just one person. The french soup dumpling was interesting butgood. The pork belly bao buns were very good. The salmon crudo was pretty good but needed more crunch to it. The texture wasjust mush. The entree, I hate to say it, but was horrible. We ordered the Malaysian stir fry noodles which were extremelybland and had no flavor. My fiancee is from Malaysia, and these don't even come close to comparison to traditional noodles. Ittasted like they didn't even add salt. Which, for an Asian restaurant, having too little salt is extremely rare. It tasted asthough you were eating a vegetable stir fry with barely any noodles. The wagyu beef, well that could have been flanksteak...... The donuts were a good way to end the meal. Overall, the restaurant needs to be more transparent during restaurantweek of what is included and not tell you once you get there, everything is to share. A couple next to us requested to order anadditional small plate at the standard price in which they were denied. MIND BLOWING, stated because it's restaurant week, theycan't order another small plate and pay for it?! Service was pretty good. Overall, for the price and portions, I would haverather ate at a chain restaurant. PF Chang's has more flavor in their stir fry noodles...... Read more

Went for restaurant week. Food varied on the dish, but the owner/manager apparently missed the whole concept of restaurant week... (to sample a restaurant’s menu at a reasonable price). Found their restaurant week menu on Denver.org for 35$/person for 3small bites, an entree and dessert selection. When we arrived we were told it was 70$ for two people to share 3 small bites, anentree and desert. 70$ to share an entree on restaurant week. We wanted to leave right then and should have as food and servicewas average at best. For comparison we went out to another restaurant for restaurant week and for 45$/person we each got twoapps, an entree, and dessert selection. The picture below is our 70$ entree, you could buy a frozen stir fry that tasted better. Will not return nor recommend, below average and overpriced. Read more
