Saw this place on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. Had to check it out for myself. The empanadas were amazing. They had quite a... variety and we tried six different ones. The atmosphere inside was very clean and had little glimpses and reminders of a Spanish feel if you ever traveled abroad. The... service was friendly and food were willing to help choose from the many varieties of savory to desert Empanadas. This place was awesome. As you can see on the pictures, my hubby and I wanted to try everything. We got the banatulla it was... absolutely delicious. We also tried the Argentina, the one with chorizo, the one that has mushrooms was my favorite andyhusband?s fav was the buffalo chicken one. Great service too and the coffee to die for. I don?t know what Maria?s is thinking, but however they changed the recipe changed the whole flavor. We?ve lived down the block... & have been ordering here for the past 4 years. When we have visitors, they always request as their first stop after the airportis Maria?s. The last two times we?ve ordered, they?ve completed changed their recipe. Here?s a pic I found of what it used tolook like; the Caprese. Golden brown, delicious flavor. The 2nd & 3rd pics are a new one where they come out raw but dry at thesame time with this weird stamp on it. It?s like they are trying to mass produce with a machine as well, instead of hand makingthem like previously. The cheese is different; the bread itself you can tell is a different recipe. It?s honestly so gross butwe keep trying in hopes they?ll change things back & we?ve been loyal customers for so long. Please bring back your old method &ingredients!!! Read more
