It's a bit odd to find nautical-themed things in Denver, but I couldn't pass up checking out this classic tavern. There's not... that much food variety - mostly salads, sandwiches and pub grub - but they go have a great selection of local, domestic andimported beers. Service is good, at least at the bar, and the atmosphere is a quite unique old-timey tavern. A bit on the pricyside, but it ain't bad, and it is an upscale hotel. Definitely worth visiting if only for the vibe! Read more
The food was presented nicely but needed salt. The bread was neat - 3 kinds baked together and presented first. There was... little coordination for the charcuterie board and the server didn't bother mentioning what was being served. The decor is a bitcampy and, while I did feel like I was on the deck of a ship, no worthy seaman would pay that much for a tastybeverage. Considering this is in downtown Denver, there are better and cheaper options. Read more
Interesting stop if you in the area. Themed like a ship with a woody tavern feel. I got a Great Manhattan and French Onion Soup... which was the light snack I was looking for. Service dropped this rating down - server was overwhelmed with the minimal tables(maybe 5) occupied or just having a bad day. Read more
This restaurant is so awesome and has an amazing setting. The staff is so friendly and considerate. We tried the Pastrami and... the Seafood Pasta. Both were phenomenal. The fries are cooked perfectly. The Pastrami sandwich is dressed perfectly. And theseafood pasta was perfectly al dente and the ratio of sauce and meat was exactly right. We had the Isabella Sterling (I thinkthat's what it was called) made with Botanist Gin, lavender infused St Germain, and Moet Brut. Everything was perfect aboutthis restaurant.
