Went to this location because my hotel was right behind it. The triple berry smoothie was good but they could only take cash.... Ok, no problem. But then he said he didn't have any quarters but then, even though I was owed .63¢ I was only given the billsand wasn't even offered my change in dimes. Store was dirty in there with water and stuff all over counters. Bathroom was filthy. Paper towels all over floor. Employees... were simply rinsing the blender pitchers and I could see some stuff on the one from the previous use. What?s worse than allthat you may ask? I'm not sure what is going on in this place anymore! It is just awful these days... My Detox smoothie tastes ABSOLUTELY... DISGUSTING TODAY! Tastes pasty....I don't think an ounce of fruit was added to it... just Kale! With each visit, it gets worseand worse! I NEVER EVER get my order as scheduled/ promised, yet there is a kitchen full of people!! Placed mobile order BEFOREI left work, which was plenty of time for it to be made, yet I still had to wait 10mins AFTER the promised time. What's thepoint? My family and I visited this location at 8:26 PM on 7/7/22. We are ?out of towners? that enjoy the Tropical Smoothie Cafe in our... municipality, excited to get dinner and smoothies to go after a long day. When we arrived, the door was locked with threeemployees inside, and some customers. The employees saw us, and ignored us as we stood outside. The hours on the door, as wellas online stated that this location closes at 9:00 PM, so you can imagine our confusion to be locked out and ignored. We decidedto place a call to the store, in case we had missed something. A woman, who I assume was the manager on duty told us theydecided to close early due to lack of staffing. This seemed bizarre considering there were three employees working at the time.I asked if we could come in, and after a pause she stated ?we can only make smoothies but no food due to staff shortage.? Idecided not to challenge her because we at least could get smoothies, which I suppose is better than nothing. It became apparentthat they had shut down the food prep stations early, in anticipation of an early close. I, myself was a retail manger for over10 years. I would have been upset to hear this about my store, but grateful for the customer feedback so that I could have theopportunity to turn it around for customers experiencing my store in the future.
