A perfectly cooked burger with an excellent sauce, super thick bacon, and garlic fries that are to die for! Don?t skip the... batido either, they?re amazingly creamy and refreshing, Passionfruit is my favorite for sure. The staff is always super friendlyand it?s a must visit every time I?m downtown. We ordered catering for Halloween today, and it was excellent. The meats are so flavorful and tender, and everything was... delicious. We got the create your own sandwich bar with 2 meats - chicken and ropa vieja - both yummy. The beef is sweet andsavory and the chicken is spicy and in a green sauce; both slow-cooked to perfection. We also had plantains both ways - fried ascrisps with avocado spread and shrimp ceviche, and twice fried - sweet with an herby garlic sauce. I highly recommend the shrimpceviche - it was absolutely perfect, and what I'd order just for myself next time! The crispy plantains are so addictive andsalty sweet. Yum! We also had the "best snack ever" which is this cheesy, tomato-ey rice and beans. Very good. Lastly, we hadthe mini churros which were pretty great - they arrived still warm! They look and taste pretty much like cinnamon sugar donutholes. We didn't get the chocolate dipping sauce this time, but I bet it takes those over the top. The mayos that come with thesetup were delicious as well - no complaints on food or service - everything was great. Communication was open and clear anddelivery was right on time. Looking forward to ordering again and stopping in myself as well! Read more

Very great food. The loaded plantains were really loaded! Seasonal Cubano Coffee was on the sweet side.

We went for a late lunch and got there just as a game was getting out at Comerica park, but surprisingly there weren't many... people in here (people were probably full of whatever they ate and drank at the game, or it was just that it was between lunchand dinner). The atmosphere was nice with the "white and wood" décor. We sat inside at one of the long, picnic style tableswhich had a center covey for water with cups, and sauces. The food was really great, and I appreciated the "authentic"ginger-line drink in a bag with a straw. Even though you order at the counter and seat yourself, they checked that everythingwas good, and cleared our (disposable) plates when we were done. This is a great pick for downtown. Read more

A true hidden gem! The chorizo burger was the best burger I've ever had in my life. The food is so good here I can't stop... thinking about it. The fishbowl drinks are massive and are a very good value, they're enough for 4 people at least! Amazingservice and a hip interior. I recommend going here before a show as it's very close to the Fox and the Fillmore. Read more
