We enjoy coming here for dine in or takeout. Always busy but they are quick too. Menu is varied and we certainly have our... "usuals". We feel lucky when we get a table coz they're busy. Read more
I've been meaning to write this review for so long! Discovery Bay Matsuyama has amazingly fresh cuts of fish. Definitely the... best in the area! They are generous with portion sizes and the cost is very reasonable for such good fish. I only order to-go,but it's always speedy and they are always genuinely thankful and kind. We always get the sashimi deluxe and one or two rolls,which is plenty for a party of two. I highly recommend this to any real sushi lover. They get busy on Fridays and Saturdays, soorder accordingly! Authentic Japanese cuisine. If you miss Japan Town choices in San Francisco, you will be pleased to have found Matsuyama. ... Their BentoBaku offerings are really good, And, I recommend the Tonkatsu Pork. The prices are surprisingly low. If you misseating good Japanese food , you may not be overy enthusiastic but you won't be sadly disappointed either. Don't forget, we arein Discovery Bay and it's not likely that the population here of Japanese and Japanese descendants is very high. I, for one, amglad they are here. Read more
Straight up best sushi place around. Sushi is 100% always on point. Since the quarantine I've been trying sushi from anywhere... else close by and none compare to this place, not even shirasoni. I cant wait for them to open back up, I'll be eating there fora week straight Read more
