1st time here. food was okay I've never had jerk chicken but I imagine it has more spice? more flavor? mac was bomb and greens... were super good too. would go back to give it another go. Read more
As a Jamaican????????, who comes from a family of chefs and knows how to cook. Sometimes you just want to try others food, but... this is a insult to the culture dish. White rice is usually served with this dish, the portion sizes of the chicken are toobig, traditionally it is cut into pieces. Also the flavoring of the curry and all the other seasons were missing. I understandthat you do not just cater to Jamaicans but to completely turn away from the traditional preparation of this dish is worse. Ihave supported this restaurant many times, but this is my last time. I will not be patronizing this business anymore until theycan get their act together. Read more
Its about a 30 to 1hour down and back from my residence but you can bet their is no better meal then you will every fine cooked... to perfection . First time trying this place, I’ve seen good reviews so I thought ‘why not!?’ Going back I see reviews on only the soul... food ....so to start I waited 45min for my food I could’ve just cooked myself at this point ...second I ordered jerk chickenand brown stew chicken ...I’ve never in my life had Caribbean food so bland I mean NO sauce at all, jerk chicken had NO spiceor flavor, it tasted like baked chicken and I even asked for EXTRA sauce. *Boxed Mac and Cheese with extra Cheese very disappointing - last year authentic homemade *Black Eyed Peas too sweet - last year... authentic homemade *Sweet Potatoes are good but a bit mushy almost mashed *String Beans are ok *Sweet potato pie is verygood *Banana pudding is very good I first tried this restaurant a couple of years ago and was impressed but lately the food &service is undesirable.
