Generally I am not a fan of BBQ, especially in the Chicagoland area. My biggest complaints are, the meat is tough as rubber... (over cooked), they use liquid smoke (or too much of it - Uncle Bub's) or it's smothered in so much sauce that you can't tasteanything else. I was pleasantly surprised with Sharko's. I ordered the half chicken, baked beans, coleslaw and the wife orderedthe rib tips, cornbread and lemonade. The pickles were complimentary. Both the chicken and rib tips were very tender and came inhealthy sized portions. You could seen the meat, they started with a dry rub, which I believe they have for sale. Both meatswere NOT overly sauced, you could actually taste the flavor of the meat. The beans were perfect, with the flavor of the beanscoming through. Typically for me, baked beans are overpowered with molasses, the chunks of brisket added to the texture andflavor. The coleslaw was also perfect, not too creamy or too sweet. The wife loved the cornbread. The lemonade was very goodwith a fresh, homemade flavor. The pickles were not the traditional salty dill pickle variety; they were more like a marinatedcucumber with a hint of vinegar, onion and a slight crunch. Loved it all. :) Read more

First time ordering, we picked up. No confirmation which means no receipt. Called to confirm and the man said they don't do... that, we just go in and hung up abruptly after I confirmed understanding. The order we received was incorrect. Ended up withpulled pork instead of burnt ends for a family meal. And missing a BBQ sauce. The spinach was dry and tasted old. We spent $70on the meal so I did try to to eat it. Unfortunately not a great experience. Read more

Great food and nice proportions, I travel alot and this was one of the best meals re: barbecue I have had. (suggestion is to... cover the whited out windows with banners or some type of graphics) drive by appeal would be enhanced to match the great foodinside) Thanks for the good meal. Ken Read more

EVERYTHING was delicious!! I got the Mac Mamma, some cole slaw and baked beans. The mac and cheese was phenomenal, albeit a... little salty. The pulled pork came with some seasoning dusted on top, which elevated the flavor. The baked beans had three typesof beans, including chili beans, which gave it a baked bean-chili hybrid flavor. The cole slaw was cool, crisp, and refreshingand was a nice compliment to the saltier items. Don?t forget the homemade pickles and fresh lemonade!! They don?t really haveseating inside except for one table and a couple of stools in the corner. They have a nice patio, which was enjoyable on asummer evening. Glad to have found a great bbq joint close to home. Read more

My family ordered takeout over the weekend and it didn?t disappoint. I had the pulled pork slider with shark bite sauce (sweet... and spicy), and a side of mac and cheese. Everything was cooked to perfection. The sauce wasn?t overly sweet or spicy and themac and cheese was creamy. I?d gladly order from here again. Read more
