I used to love Baci. But after this experience I won?t be back. This was about the worst experience I ever had at a restaurant.... After bringing my first soup. I discovered after eating a couple bites there was something in the spinach. I looked at it and itwas a cooked fly. I then told the server who said they would bring me a new one. I was really off put and knew the fly wascooked in the soup so I didn?t really want a new soup and would?ve taken something else instead. The second soup came out and Iwas beside myself. As the lady sat it down I immediately saw another fly in my soup. We immediately flagged the waiter down asshe ran off, and asked for them to please take it back and take it off the bill. I do not want to eat fly soup. Getting a fly ineach soup makes me question how many flies were actually in the soup. The waiter though blamed the outside flys and that theygot there at our table. No we had no flys near us until our dinner was served. We would?ve noticed a fly landing in my soup anddying in it. These were cooked flys. You would think after having a fly in both my soups, one that I nearly Ate, you would?vecomped something or acknowledged the huge fail and apologize not gaslight us about flies in the surrounding area being theculprit. After that I almost left because I was really upset. Instead we chose to give the benefit of the doubt. We got our billand noticed I was charged EXTRA for my drinks. I ordered two margaritas. And the bartender said they are Apparntly 10. So hetook 4 dollars off. I felt so insulted and embarrassed by this experience. Wont be back for being shamed about flys and maybefind a way to prevent that from happening again and handle it better. EDIT: and to your response to me. Your waiter ismistaken. The service was pretty lame and felt ignored from the start to the end. Waiters allowed us to sit at a very dirty table before... clearing it. Orderd a Cucumber soup and was given a giant bowl of tzaziki sauce. Food came out disjointed and disorganized andthey got the order wrong. Took our cutlery and didn't care to give new ones. It was just a mess, and the food was lame. Editedto add: we work in the restaurant industry so we are aware of the struggles, but this was beyond. Our party of nine (four adults and five children) dined at Baci tonight, and although the food was very good, the service from... the waitstaff was less than desirable. Our server, who did not disclose his name upon approaching our table, was barely able todisguise his disdain (for what initially appeared to be children, but turned out to be customers in general). He was short, didnot go over the specials with us, and didn?t crack a smile once. He plunked, rather than placed, our drinks down, never came tocheck to see how the food was, and responded to our attempts at friendly chatter with curt replies. I would give Baci a secondchance, as the ambiance and décor were charming, but if I saw this same server approach our table, I?d ask to be seated inanother section. Read more
