My wife and I had dinner here. The vibe is excellent. Staff is super friendly and accommodating. I ordered the Burrito Texano... filled with chicken, steak, and shrimp fajitas. Best Burrito I've ever had. Wife had Shrimp cocktail and chicken tortillasoup. I know, weird combo. Shrimp cocktail had nearly a dozen jumbo Shrimp. Delicious! Also had dosequis and house margarita,both 32 oz. Massive and all reasonably priced. Had a delicious flan for dessert. Love this place. Will stop here every time wego by. The food is EXCELLENT! We were staying at a hotel nearby and went both days we were there. Communication was the weak spot. The... first day my order was a bit mixed up on a couple items. It wasn?t a big deal except that I was ordering the smaller margarita,but was given and charged for the largest (& more expensive) one. We came back the next day and I pointed to items on the menuto make sure I was clear. I know that the waitress had my order correct, but things were missing when the order was brought outby someone else. My food got cold while I waited for the chorizo dip & sour cream. Staff weren?t clear on who was doing what.We had our drinks ordered, but another waiter came by to take our drink order. The lady that was clearing/cleaning tablescleared a table too early. The customers were in the bathroom. This confused the waitress about where to deliver the food andupset the customers a little. Then the table next to them went to the bathroom, again the lady came to clear it. I told her notto. Customers were waiting for a booth, but after a table was cleared the lady gave it to other customers. They were upsetbecause they specifically needed a booth and had been waiting for that one. I came to Cinco de Mayo on a whim after reading a lot of positive Google reviews - somehow I've missed coming here and it's only... a few minutes from home - so I thought I'd give it a shot on a weeknight, alone. I was seated immediately and the service wasextremely prompt. The salsa served with the complementary tortilla chips was unique with a sort of black pepper edge. I orderedthe Jose Special which was exactly what I was looking for at a great price: a perfectly prepared piece of grilled Tilapia on abed of shrimp, peppers, mushrooms and onions, served with rice. Wonderful seasonings and flavor. Generous portions to boot. Iusually like to move around on a menu, but I would find it hard to come back here and not order this dish. Top notch! Read more
