Really awesome coffee and a cool vibe. Hard to beat the smell of coffee and books when you walk in! We got some coconut crunch... to take home with us per the recommendation of our friends who live on the island - was definitely a great call. We always check out local independent coffee shops whenever we are traveling. We love places that are combination coffee shops... and book stores. Duck Cottage is very compact which can make it a challenge if you are there to look at books. The books are inthe same area as the coffee line. The line for coffee can be lengthy but they do a good job of moving it along. The coffee isgood. They have a few specialty lattes and lots of syrups. It's worth a stop while in town. Read more
Simply the best coffee on the OBX, and probably in the Mid Atlantic area. Allen and his team are fantastic, the books are... relevant, and I love their focus and support to true local artists and authors. My family and I have been coming for 41 years.
