Fitger's Brewhouse feels like a Duluth institution. The history of the building is very cool. I was luke warm on the beer. ... I'm a hazy NE IPA girl. The beer was good but not 5 star good. My black and blue burger was delicious. I enjoyed the diveyatmosphere inside. All in all definitely worth a visit. Read more
I enjoyed the food here. The server was nice, friendly and attentive. Never had to flag her down to get something, she was... always in the vicinity checking her tables. I ordered the poutine burger. Burger was juicy, gravy was good, cheese curdsexcellent. It was more like an open faced sandwich, ate it with a fork and knife as it was covered in gravy. Despite being busy, our wait was about 15 minutes and we enjoyed a nice beer in the adjacent bar. Our server was friendly and... attentive, and helped us pay our tab quickly when we told her we were in a time crunch. I ordered the Wild Rice burger out ofcuriosity and I loved it! Great food in a nice eclectic setting. Nice variety of beers but too many IPAs were offered when we visited. The black and... blue burger was excellent.
