Food was great and friendly staff. Had to wait a little, but it was a little busier than what the norm usually is. Fun little... upstairs area to eat. If the place was located somewhere that wasn't the rundown downtown of Duluth, the atmosphere would bemuch better in my opinion. Read more

I am a longtime customer of Toasty's! It is definitely one of Duluth's hidden restaurant gems. I have ordered the same sandwich... for the past six years and it has always been consistent, perfectly put together, hot, delicious, and overall, satisfying. Wordsdo not do their justice for this hip spot (even from their old location to their new location). Hands down, one of the bestplaces to grab a sandwich in Minnesota. Read more

I entered Toastys confused, the location is a bit abstract, it seems like it is shoved into the first story and a half of an... office building in downtown duluth. I approached the counter and no one was there. I yelled into the kitchen and heard ?Just asecond I?ve gotta take this bread out of the oven!? Fresh made bread made in house, this place had peaked my interest. Shortlyafter a burly man came out. He took my order and was quite friendly. We talked for a few minutes, I found out that he was theowner. We talked about his business and where he comes from. What I wanted to find out was, Does the chef have passion? This onehad it in spades. We chatted about his philosophy about herbs and fresh ingredients. He source?s almost everything locally. Iwas very excited to taste the food. When I sat down to try the food, it exceeded my expectations. This restaurant was able toelevate a cold turkey sandwich. I don?t even like cold turkey sandwiches, I saw a soup and sandwich deal and wanted to try twothings for the price of 1. The soup was delicious. Seasoned to perfection. I walked out with both of those for under 10$, infact the whole menu was under 10$. I will for sure return, I am excited to try the more complex items on his menu. Read more
