Honest to God, this place is such a hole in the wall. More people should give it a shot, it's right inside the Apothecary shop.... Amazing food, incredible prices, great proportions. If you like the classic American diner scene, it's a perfect spot to try. Ican't recommend this one enough. Read more

Cute little spot inside the Apothecary. Friendly faces took our order and wasn't a long wait to get our food. The food was... outstanding. Definitely coming back. Read more

I really loved this place back in the day. A Duncanville staple for years and with lots of great memories. (The pastrami... sandwiches were my go to. My mom loved the tuna salad sandwich &Of course, the kids just go for the ice cream!) My daughterasked for us to go this Saturday. We had not been in 2 years. Went to the counter, ordered a grilled cheese sandwich for mylittle girl, ice cream for my son, and of course, her meal came with the ice cream. We took our seat. And waited? And waited? And waited? 15 minutes later, we have a lady come to the table and asked us if we wanted our drinks now or with the meal. I toldher that it doesn?t matter. She then proceeded to tell me, ?well, that?s why I?m here?, in a scolding manner. (She did not seemhappy with us at all.) I responded to her that it doesn?t matter. She walked away without saying anything. I know that Ishould?ve gone to the counter and should have said something, but I have one of the most squirmy sweet little autistic boys andwas having a pleasant conversation with my daughter. I thought that surely, they would notice. The sweet lady who took our orderat the counter came to the table and asked us if we had received anything. I told her that we had not receive anything. ?It hadbeen about 40 minutes at that point. (Keep in mind, this was only a grilled cheese sandwich, lemonade, and two small icecreams.) I should have said something, but, assumed that they would?ve seen us since we were with an eye shot. After the sweetlady, who took our order, came to the table, we received a cold grilled cheese sandwich by an apologetic employee whoimmediately said that she was going to refund us our money. I said that she did not have to. However, she insisted. -Howeveremployee who asked us about our drinks was not happy to have us there. Condescending. The service almost felt like we wereintruding and not welcomed; with the exception of two of the staff members, one of whom refunded us. I want to like this place Read more

Through my travels around the world, I have yet to encounter another place quite like Kitchen's Deli. For decades, their food... seems to have a magical ambiance that exudes the epitome of simplicity, wholesome goodness, love, and comfort. (Yes, I believepossibly they have access to Care Bears or a time portal to mothers/grandmothers from yesteryears who prepare their menu items.)Also, their food is all the more seasoned by a delightful atmosphere that makes you feel as if you have been transported back toa time when soda jerks and penny candies were all the rage. If you want a scrumptious sandwich, wonderfully-fresh fare chockfull of veggies, comforting soups & chili (dare I say, 'Frito Pie?!'), and delectable desserts like chocolate- or coconut-creampie, you must at least once get your lunch at Kitchen's Deli. To this end, be warned, if you find something you absolutely loveon their menu, don't expect to be able to find another place to have it or prepare it anywhere as well. In my case, I almostregret the day I first tried their stuffed tomato because I have yet to find another dining establishment that makes it as wellas Kitchen's Deli. Read more
