Presentation- Good Location-Great Music-Different Taste- Hush Puppies-Delicious but looks like the grease needed some... changing. Gumbo is a soup-Should NOT be called gumbo ?? Red Beans and Rice- No seasoning just beans, rice and heat- NO FLAVOR atall? Fried Catfish- DELICIOUS Grits- Dry Sauce that goes on top of grits- needs more seasoning! Service was great?atmosphere wasgreat but the food (not the catfish) needed seasoning- this place missed the mark for me. I know authentic Cajun good andunfortunately this was not it. So good! It's like a food truck with a cute cajun facade! Live music, all outside tables and amazing food! Crawfish pies, gumbo,... muffaletta (pressed like a cuban!), hotsauce wall, local beer! Hours are limited, but well-worth the stop! Read more
I finally made it and they did NOT disappoint. Took Friday off for my anniversary, hubby, my son and I decided on Dunedin for... the day. We began here for lunch. It's a quaint little place on the corner of Howard and 580. Food is made to order so if youare in a hurry, don't be- stop, relax and take in the scenery in the outdoor seating area which is shaded with trees andumbrellas. My son and I had the Shrimp a la Creole with hushpuppies. I was never a fan of hushpuppies but I've found a couple ofplaces that are not so bad and this is now on my yummy list. Hubby had the Gumbo and Muffuletta, which in my opinion is waybetter than the one we had in New Orleans recently. Amazing ambiance and equally amazing food and service! Everything was cooked to perfection! Hush puppies were crisp on the... outside and soft and fluffy on the inside, catfish was golden brown and crispy and moist and juicy on the inside! Shrimp wasseason to perfection as well!
