We had appetizers, cocktails, and entrees in this charming restaurant. Highly recommend: the cocktail La Diosa Negra, which is... served with smoke. The Havana Style Fish is cooked in parchment and the flavors do not overwhelm the fish. Not recommended:fried pork belly. Note that the food is an interpretation of Cuban cuisine. Prices are a bit high. There's a nearby parkingdeck, which was free for us. Read more

Overall our experience here was fine. The cocktails were tasty and provided a food variety. The service was really slow, as in... it took 2.5 hours to eat dinner with a reservation starting at 630. The food was ok but overall not a lot of crowd pleasers. Thepork belly was far too fatty, the ropa Vieja had a very strong unusual smokey flavor and the medianoche could have had moremustard or pickles since it was a little bit dry. I appreciate the mission and the atmosphere but the execution is a bit off. Read more

We will seated quickly, even though we didn't have reservations. The drinks and food were delicious! I suggest getting here... early, especially if you don't have reservations. We arrived right before the dinner rush. Read more

Do not go here, the food was very expensive and the portions were very small. We were only 2 people and left hungry. Ordered 2... apps and 2 main courses. The fish was a ridiculously small portion, actually a joke for the price. The apps included 6 tinyshrimp and 4 tiny meatballs. The bill included a 20% Living Wage Fee, never heard of this and they asked for a tip on top of it.The service was rookie level and the food was not great. Posted a photo of our $101 bill, no drinks included. Avoid at allcosts, unless you are throwing your money away. I always tip well at restaurants and do not need them to add in a 20% mandatoryfee and then guilt me into leaving an additional tip on top of that. Read more

The service was good, the atmosphere was serene unfortunately the food was disappointing. I asked for condiments for the pork,... mojito was delicious and necessary for flavor. The flan was bitter and the expresso machine was broken with no coffee choices. The living wage 20% adjustment added to the bill was an insult and should have been discussed prior to seating. Unfortunately Ichose the wrong spot to dine for my first night in Durham. Read more
