We had the best experience. I have not had good Greek food since I left Europe. This place was amazing. We leave about 2 hrs... away but I will make the drive just to eat here again. Read more
Would not recommend the Greek salad. The cheese salt and cream are overwhelming. The other dishes looked much better.
Very enjoyable experience at Spiro’s! We started off with a delicious fried cheese served table side with a brandy flame. Then... delicious Greek salads with the house dressing and I had one of the specials that evening which was beef medallions with smokedshrimp, twice baked potato and vegetables. Everything was great! Excellent!! From the moment we walked in, till the time we left, our experience was superb! Our waiter (I can't remember his... name but he used to be a cook) was phenominal...one of the best we have EVER had! They were so busy, because this was a few daysbefore Christmas, but we never had to wait for anything. We started out with the flaming cheese appetizer, (saganoki) and thedolomides. He even split it all up onto plates for the 2 of us, so we didnt have to do it. As for the food...WOW, it was sodelicious! I got the seafood pasta and my fiancée got the veal. We both loved it so much that we ate half of our own meal, andthen switched and ate the other half of the others meal, because we couldn't decide which one we liked better. Wanted to like this place as it was a friends favorite and recommended.I was the only one in a party of 6 that ordered the beef... kebab. We were one of last tables of the evening and by 2am I was experiencing severe food poisoning symptoms. (And I needed todrop my husband for a 5am flt). I called the manager to let him know before their next dinner service. All he said was “I’msorry. And thanks for letting me know” Really???? Wasn’t going to leave this review but in light of that we also had a lambshank that tasted like it had been prepped 3 weeks ago. The food is not fresh, over sauced to hide it and way too overpriced.Better meals for way less money are out there. Do yourself a favor and go to one of those places.
