Heard a lot about this place! Finally went yesterday to try it out! I would say yes the fish was definitely better than most... places in Toronto ,but nothing unique or special idk ??????????? Their appetizer (calamari) was about nothing at all ???? noseasoning,no flavour,felt like a rubber! Most popular dish (Halibut+chips) every person in restaurant was ordering it,the restas I mentioned nothing special! Coleslaw Salad on the side was just???? The mayo they provide ???? Fries taste good with tartarsoyse,without same no seasoning at all! The ketchup bottles they have on tables very uncomfortable,even you shake it it?s notcoming out! In my opinion for a place like that with their food quality,they shouldn?t charge much ! Only benefit they have,their fish is good! Washrooms are very tight and the whole place is very small, they have tables very close to each other,youcan hear every single conversation around you! A great place for Fish n Chip. Over 25 years restaurant. Cozy and great service. I love their pub style decor and comfy... environment. Their beer must order, every Monday,Wed n Friday has special beer $4.95 , can't beat it. Fish taco is amazing, thecilantro with lime sauce are so tasty, must order. My favourite plate is Halibut meal, from fish to fries, coleslaw salad aretop notch...fresh fish and very affordable prices. Authentic British fish n chips. Read more
Oh my gosh! The best fish and chips I have in ages????? light crisp batter, flakey fresh haddock. I got the fisherman's Platter... with 3 shrimp, 3 scallops and piece of Haddock? delish S. Had the entree of Clam chowder, and main of cod, fresh and lightcrispy batter - so good. Food came quickly and wait staff were obtrusive but attentive. Definitely a solid choice for fish and chips. Recommend getting some sort of fish and chips instead of the calamari and chips... dish. Both were good but would've loved if the calamari batter had more flavour in it. The fish was cooked to perfection. Thekey lime pie was also very well made with an excellent filling and crust.
