Went for dinner here with my extended family. I was very impressed with the food; the Lamb Shank was buttery soft; the meat... practically melted off the bone. The roasted chicken was the same - tender and juicy. The Afghan rice was delicious andreminded me of restaurants I have tried in Toronto and Vancouver. I've never been to Afghanistan, so I can't tell if it'sauthentic, but tasted good to me. We shared a plate of Afghan dumplings (Mantou) which were also fantastic. For a Saturdaynight, the place was practically empty. We didn't have to fight any crowds or wait for a table. The service was incrediblyfast considering the complexity of the food. The owner had a unique sense of humour which was very endearing; he refused tocharge us for the last cup of tea because my kid didn't drink it. When I told him to charge me anyways he said, "God iswatching me, I don't want to be unfair." Overall, very happy with the food. Will definitely be happy to come back for more. Read more
We called this place to ask if the meat was hand slaughtered or machine slaughtered just to be sure if it was halal or not. The... owner replied rudely with saying ?Man. My hands. We are now closed for you.? If a place doesn?t have the decency to answer aquestion, how bad would their service be. I?m glad the owner was rude over the phone so I didn?t spend my money a place thatclearly does not care about customer service or their customers at all. Avoid this place.
