I came here for my birthday last night and oh my god! It was way better than expected! The manager was so friendly and welcomed... us all in immediately. Our server was amazing! He was charismatic, funny and helpful. Everyone that came, agreed what an amazingexperience it was. Try the ceaser extra spicy, you won't regret it. And the food! Ooooo the selection of seafood is vast andevery single thing we got was worth the price. Outstanding job to the chefs! We will be back! Read more
This is my daughters favorite restaurant and we always go here for her birthday and other special occasions. The owner is super... friendly as are the bar and wait staff. We're the type who like to have a bit of fun when we dine out, and the staff are veryupbeat here. (I hate snooty "whisper and act like a robot or get glared at" places). The food is exceptional - everything tastesfar better and fresher than what I am accustomed to as far as seafood goes (This is Edmonton, after all). Last time we sprungfor the King's Platter and it was worth every penny - everything was simply delicious and we left completely stuffed, leftoversin hand. They also had a pasta dish (not sure if it's on the menu anymore) that was a medley of various types of crab claws,mussels and prawns... fantastic. The oyster special is off the hook too. Definitely a must-visit restaurant if you like seafoodand you're downtown. Lots of parking in two different lots across the street as well. Chef's kiss. Five stars. Read more
Tried Black Pearl for the first time for a birthday celebration. All the food was amazing! The honey nut lobster and prawns had... the most delicious sauce, I will be back for it for sure! Also save space for the creme brulee! It comes with a butterscotchdrizzle and it was the combination you never thought you needed. Of course the buck a shuck oysters are such a good deal. If you?re looking for fresh delicious seafood, I suggest you check out the black pearl seafood bar!!! The servers were so... friendly!! It was my first time having oysters and they were perfect. They have a buck a shuck deal where your first dozenoysters are 1$ per person, which I thought was a great deal. My Caesar was probably the best Caesar I?ve ever had withprosciutto and other delicious add ons! I loved my main dish the lobster ravioli it was to die for!!! If you like lobster andpasta I highly recommend it. Only negative thing I have to say, is my boyfriend ordered the seafood vermicelli and it came withbasically no vermicelli which was disappointing. I really enjoyed this place and ahe server was very nice. I wanted to try something different for a drink and the bartender came... up with this amazing expresso martini, and I don't even like coffee. The food was so good, everything was amazing. Read more
