Most popular Korean style soup in Edmonton. Its hard to find all of your favourite soup in one store, but this store has more... than 20 soup choices. Blood sausage soodae soup is always my go to! Must try crispy dumpling and cream corn cheese, it?s sodelicious. One big thing about this store is your get big amount of side dishes, radish, kimchi, bean sprouts. It can never gowrong. Their herbal medicine jokbal is also very delicious, it comes with lettuce, garlic, and Jalapeños. If you are a souplover, go try this place. Read more

Korean home style cooking with good flavor. This place shares the same building with another Korean BBQ restaurant Baekjeong... (two different entrances). We really enjoyed their cold noodles and tofu stew. Their kimchi side dishes were quite tasty aswell. Read more

I usually order for taking out once a week, but I have a terrible experience for the seafood pancake last time, it was burned... staled and didnt cut, I dont know but I hope it wasnt someone reuturn it, and I ordered and I got it! I understand dinner timecan be busy but dont fool customers. Check your order before you go back home, even no in restaurant but in the car, folks Read more

The experience at Dookbaeki was decent overall, but could have been better in a couple of key areas. The menu leans heavily... towards soups and stews, and is notably purely Korean, as opposed to a mix of Korean plus other cuisines like some other Koreanrestaurants do. We enjoyed the food generally. The soup my daughter had (budae-soontubu) was very hot both temperature wise andtaste wise (maybe a little too spicy for her) but it also jad a ton of soft silky tofu which she really enjoyed with a side ofplain white rice. On the other hand, my beef bibimbap (sogogi dolsot bibimbap) was disappointing. It was bland, the rice wastoo dry, and the beef was almost non-existent. I was able to fix the blandness and dryness issue by adding lots (I mean LOTS) ofhot sauce. Fortunately, the sides were great: pan fried tofu and steamed dumplings really hit the spot. As well, the suppliedcondiments (sesame bean sprouts, Kimchi and pickled radish) were good quality so no complaints there. Two slightly negativethings to note: 1) the tableside bell to ring for service needs to be held down until you hear it ring. We tapped it oncequickly and saw the red light come on, then waited patiently for 15 minutes for no service. We tapped a second time but heldlong enough to hear it ring, and then service was fast and friendly. So, know that if the bell doesn't ring, you will beignored. 2) the wood slats in the table top have gaps into which food particles have fallen. The gaps appear to have beencovered/filled by white silicone at some point, but a lot of that is long gone and now the exposed joints are full of crud, andit's pretty gross... Didn't enjoy eating over top of past diners dried out rice grains, rotting bits of meat and veggies, dribbles of sauce all fallen I to the tabletop crevices. Just... Ug. Overall, not bad but definitely could have been better. Read more
