Excellent, authentic Indian food and top notch service. I have been here several times with family and business clients -... including a couple Indian foodies who were also very impressed. I was so happy when the buffet returned after the pandemic asit's the best Indian buffet I've ever experienced. NOT the usual overly oily or poorly seasoned stuff common to Indian buffets.This food is all fresh, excellently seasoned, and cooked without over-use of oils and salt. The entire staff is eager toplease, ultra polite and respectful, and exude a personal determination to make their restaurant succeed by providing the bestservice they can. Used to love this restaurant at South Common and the downtown location especially, since 2013. I used to always dine with... friends here.. Was a patron here. There used to be a head waiter who was always friendly and entertaining. Excellent food andentertaining staff were a hit combo. However, now it appears the staff and management has changed. Restaurant wasn't that busytoday. (1) the quality of customer service has deteriorated. (2) Food that was served today was mostly cold... Except for thesizzling appetizer and one of the curries. (3) Once we finished dining, I had asked for take out plastic containers, but wasgiven Styrofoam boxes to put curries in. Waitress said she didn't have any containers. As I exited the restaurant, I did see theplastic containers racked up to the side. (4) Asked for a glass of warm water 5 times, but didn't get any. When you pay a highbill, the price should be justified with the best ambience, customer service and food. Not sure if I will repeat a visit again. Read more
I think the restaurant is collecting a part of fees from customers which they need to pay to someone. We ordered good amount of... stuffs from them from which we only liked the cocktail and the rest of things were not good. The prices are very much high andquantity was not good enough. The most disappointing item which we felt was known as Dal Tadka and it felt there was no tadka atall. We asked one of them to change it and bring us the tadka dal but he said you will get the same thing as they consider dalas dal tadka. We ordered 4 papads, 4 cocktails 2 veg sabjis, 8 chappatis, 1 rice and 1 dal and the bill was around $200. Thephoto is of dal tadka in which you can see there is no tadka in it. Read more
