I would give it closer to 4.5 stars if it was an option. It's been a few years since I have been to The Bothy but I was happy to... see that the food is as good as ever. Very cozy and warm space with an EXTENSIVE wine by the glass and whisky menu (duh!). 2ozwine options are fun - then you can easily have 9, right?! The entrees - short ribs and Half Honey smoked roast chicken (I thinkthat's the title for the dish) were both delicious and worth the money. The charcuterie, while delicious, was a bit overpriced..particularly the sous vide tenderloin. I would concentrate on entrees and apps if money is a concern and you arrive hungry.Overall, a great night out! Best restaurant I've been to in a while! Casual & comfy atmosphere, very good service, delicious food. We had the build your own... charcuterie (with olive bowl), haggis, and sticky toffee pudding. I recommend them all! The server suggested the Prima Donnacheese, and lamb sausage for charcuterie choices and they didn't disappoint. I don't drink so I can't speak much to the whiskeyother than to say the selection was extensive. The prices were also lower than the 3 dollar signs would suggest. Read more
