One great benefit to visiting family in the area is the opportunity to stop at Prasek?s. Been making a point to stop here since... way back when it was a much smaller store/gas station. Love the smoked meats and the great assortment of jams, jellies andrelishes. If they haven?t run out, be sure to get some of their excellent kolaches. Read more
We never drive past Prasek's without stopping. On some trips to Houston, we stop twice - on our way there and on the way home. ... Good BBQ and fantastic meats and bakery items. My favorite is the chocolate chewy cookie and my husband's favorite is coconutcake (unfortunately only available on Thursdays and Fridays). The bathrooms are impeccably clean and private - making this abetter than Buccee's because the food is better! Read more
Passing through I stop here the restroom is clean. The store is neat itself with the fish tank and the mounts. I've gotten the... preseason chicken quarters the pork steak the summer sausage quail stuffed with jambalaya and boudin stuff with crawfish fromthe market side... It's very good quality and seasoning. A great place to stop between Houston & Corpus. Read more
I'll stick with Bucees in Wharton. Better food, more restrooms, cleaner restrooms, better service, no long lines at the cash... registers. Location needs updating and better layout to handle customer flow. I understand this is a long standing communityfavorite. With a little attention, it could still be that and handle customers from the ever-increasing traffic flow on thehighway as well. Read more
