Very good atmosphere and decor. Nice and clean! We had the 8 oz. steak dinner, served with 2 sides. I had the mashed potatoes... which I had to return because they were too dry and salty! Replaced with the scalloped potatoes which was excellent. The steakswere to die for! So tender and flavorful. Highly disappointed in the kids meal which was a hot dog and BOXED macaroni andcheese. Why would they go to such great lengths to have a cute restaurant with great homemade food then serve something from abox when homemade mac and cheese is so much better and expected from a restaurant of this price and quality! Sad to say but Heifers fails miserably in my opinion. Went there for dinner on a Saturday night. We had a coupon for buy one get... one steak dinner. After the hostess seated us we waited 15 minutes for a waitress to take our drink order. I finally flagged awaitress down and asked for a water with lemon. After another 5 minutes I got my water no lemon. We asked her to clarify whichsteak was the special. We ordered an appetizer that took another 10 minutes to get and was room temperature. Another 30 minutesfor our steaks. We had to ask for napkins and refills on our drinks. The steaks were really tough. At checkout somehow the mealcame to over thirty dollars. I was totally disappointed with everything. I will take my business elsewhere. Read more

Clean, meals came out quickly, polite wait staff. All sides except cottage cheese are high carb, no green veggies as an option.... Also, mac and cheese was just boxed mac and cheese. If someone is going there for a steak and paying the price for a steak thesides need to be homemade not out of a box! Very disappointed in that. Will not go again unless for a burger. Read more

Breakfast for two was very good. We were waited on in a timely manner. Food was good and our coffee cups refilled often by a... nice wait staff. We are very happy that Eldon has a very clean and friendly atmosphere. The restaurant is spotlessly clean andthat tells me the kitchen is spotless as well. We will return soon to sample dinner. We had dinner here on New Year's Eve and it was great. The prices are reasonable, and the food was delicious. I had the 8 oz.... sirloin Farmhouse Steak and it was tender and flavorful. I loved the herbed butter they topped the steak with. One warning, ifyou are in a hurry, go to a fast food joint. This place is cooked to order, so your food may take a little longer to be served,but it is worth the wait. Read more
